Salvation

Your Salvation

The basis on which God forgives you of all your sins and delivers you from the dominion of sin over you is that Jesus Christ bore the judgments of sin by His death on the Cross and rose again to live in order that He can raise you up to share in His resurrection life in victory over sin and death.

When Adam, the father of the human race, fell into sin in the Garden of Eden he fell into a state of spiritual death, which is separation from God, the source of life. This state of death passed on all the human race as descendants of Adam. Every human being born in this world is born in that state of spiritual death.

Therefore in bringing mankind salvation from sin and death, Jesus Christ Himself partook of death and then resurrection life on behalf of mankind. In other words, He took upon Himself humanity’s judgment of death and rose again to give life to mankind. Hence, any one of Adam’s race, who believes in Jesus Christ, accepting Him to be the Son of God and the Messiah or Christ who came to earth to deliver mankind from sin and death, and died and rose from death to bring about mankind’s salvation, shall be saved.

Salvation is actually the raising of sinners from spiritual death into spiritual life and communion with God in Christ. Raised to life through the resurrection life of Christ, one who is saved is mysteriously absorbed into Christ to become a member of the Body of Christ or the Church universal in heaven and earth.

Here are some Scripture passages presenting this message of the Gospel:

John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 5:24: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

Romans 5:17: “For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Ephesians 2:1-3: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.”

Ephesians 2:4-6: “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 6:3-6: “Do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of  His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with  Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.”

Romans 6:7-10: “For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:12-13: “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”

1 Corinthians 12:12-13: “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free - and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”

1 Corinthians 12:27: “Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.”

This basically is the Gospel of the Kingdom and the message of salvation to all mankind. If you have heard the message of this Gospel and believe that God will forgive you of your sins and raise you into a new life in Christ, pray humbly to God now in the name of Jesus Christ and receive your salvation.

“Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and have done many sinful deeds. But I believe you gave your Son Jesus Christ to save me from death which is the judgment of my sin. I accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour. I repent of my sins and will be baptized in water for the remission of my sins, according to the instructions of your word. Forgive me of my sins. Raise me up into spiritual life in Christ and establish me in the Body of Christ to live a new life of righteousness from now on before You. Amen.”

Now you are saved and have begun your Christian walk in this world, you will need further instructions and help to live this new life. We want to help you.
